An Ideal frame is a full-size beekeeping frame — the complete comb section as it sits inside the hive box, with all cells filled, capped, and intact. At a minimum of 1.5kg, this is a significant quantity of raw comb honey and the format most suited to trade use, large-scale catering, or the home entertainer who wants the full visual impact of a complete honeycomb.

The frame is not trimmed, portioned, or cut before dispatch. You receive the comb as harvested — cells intact, honey unextracted, flavour compounds preserved that evaporation destroys during conventional extraction.

Store at room temperature in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate. The frame can be cut at tableside or portioned in advance using a sharp serrated knife. Any cut surfaces will seep honey slowly — factor this into your plating or serving approach.

The beeswax is food-safe and edible. Guests unfamiliar with raw honeycomb may need a brief explanation — the wax can be chewed and swallowed or removed from the mouth after the honey is released.
