Honey favours that don't need dressing up
Most wedding favours end up in a bin near the door. Everyone knows it, including the couple while they're ordering them.
We make honey favours because honey is one of the few things people take home and actually use. But that isn't really why we're writing this. It's because of how most honey favours look.
Go looking for honey wedding favours in Perth and you'll find the same thing over and over. A plain glass jar, a printed sticker on the lid, a square of linen and some twine. It's a lovely look if your wedding is in a barn. It's the wrong look if it isn't.
The jar is already the design
Our 65g favour jars come in the same black and gold as everything else we make. Hand filled, gold foil honeycomb, our mark on the front. Nothing has to be added to make it look like something.
That helps at both ends. At a formal wedding it sits on a place setting without looking like a craft project. At a relaxed one it still looks chosen rather than defaulted to.
What you choose
The jar is fixed. Everything around it isn't.
Swing tags. Two styles, in cream, off white, mustard or brown, printed in gold or standard ink. Your names, your date, a thank you, whatever you'd like on them. Cream with gold ink if you're going elegant, brown if you want it warmer.
A wooden dipper, if you'd like one tied alongside.
That's it. We'd rather do three things properly than offer you forty.

A jar on its own is $4.55. A jar with a personalised tag is $6.10. All three together is $7.05.
Minimum order is 25 jars, which is deliberately low. Not every event is a hundred and fifty people, and an engagement party or a small office shouldn't be shut out of it.

If you want something with more to it, our Honey Flight is four 65g jars with a wooden dipper and tasting cards in a black gift box. It works as a gift in its own right rather than a favour, and it tends to end up on a desk instead of in a drawer.
One honest thing about honey
Ours is seasonal, and we don't blend it to even things out.
Every harvest tastes and looks a little different depending on what was flowering and what the weather did that month. The colour moves anywhere from pale gold through to almost black. Larger producers blend batches so every jar is identical. We don't, so ours aren't.
It will also crystallise over time. That's what raw honey does, and it's worth putting on the tag rather than treating as a fault. Warm the jar gently in water and it comes straight back.
Where it comes from
We're beekeepers. Our hives sit in the Jarrah, Marri and Blackbutt forests of the South West, and we extract the honey, jar it and label it ourselves. There's no packer in between.
Western Australia is also the only major honey producing region in the country still free of Varroa mite, so our bees have never needed a chemical treatment of any kind.
